A new statue was unveiled this weekend at Cumbernauld Community Memorial Peace Garden, marking the completion of the next phase in development of Cumbernauld’s newest greenspace. The statue depicts two hands releasing a dove of peace with an olive branch in its beak. The event was well attended and included a parade from local military cadets. The statue was unveiled by Gavin Whitefield, Chief Executive of North Lanarkshire Council. Additional installations and further improvements are planned for Cumbernauld Community Memorial Peace Garden in the near future.
