At this year’s Beautiful Scotland award ceremony, held earlier today in Perth, Cumbernauld received a Silver Award in the Best Small City category. We were only a few marks short of the Silver Gilt category, scoring 140 points out of a 200 maximum, which would have been our highest ever score in the Beautiful Scotland competition.
Maintaining our Silver Award was not an easy achievement and this was thanks to the support and hard work from participating groups who contribute positively to Cumbernauld’s environment. We look forward to participating in the competition again next year, and in surpassing our level of achievement and returning Beautiful Scotland silverware to Cumbernauld once more.
